R42520 pick slip prints w/ no available inventory

Sometimes! We have an example where we had 500 units on hand. An order for 500 ran through the overnight R42520, was hard committed and a pick slip printed. A user ran a one off R42520 for a different order, same part, 500 pcs. At this time the available was zero. The first time through it correctly put the order on backorder and returned a 902/551 status. Then the user ran the same version again and this time it gave in and printed a pick slip and hard committed another 500 units. We now show 500 on hand with 1000 committed. We only see this periodically so I don't think it's a setup issue but I also don't see anything with the versions of the R42520 being used. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Check what availability set for that Branch Plant in B/P constant. Put flag on for "Quantity Hard Committed to SO" in subtract option. Then try to run pick slip.

Thanks for your reply! We do have Quantity Hard Committed to SO checked in this BP but we do not have Quantity Future Committed to SO....should that be checked as well?
