R31802A - GL IL Variance when WO Partaily Completed

Hi,

When a work order is partially completed and processed overnight with R31802A, the value being written to the GL for the IM is a percentage calculated in the following manner.

Qty of 10 on the work order

4 are completed(40%) with a cost of $40

40$ written to the IL
$40 X 40% = $16 which is written to the GL for the IM transaction

I've spent days reading the posts here and on oracle without finding people with similar situations so it leads me to believe this is due to the configuration of the system.

Should I have the financial team review the manufacturing AAI's?

From what I can see in the debug logs, the value is being calculated in the Work Order Processing (B3104170) business function which calls Initialize the F3102 Variance Cache (B3101630). These are written in C so leave me somewhat on the outer.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Some additional information:

We are using average costing, not standard costing

From what I've read it seems this could be contributing to the issue.

Sorry...I never posted the resolution to this issue:

It was actually a bug with JDE. Oracle didn't provide a paper fix but did suggest downloading ESU PG7435, and select the following objects

- B3104180
- B3104190
- B3104170
- B4104270
- B4104240

built the above objects into a new package and install this in your testing enviornment to try it out.


That ended up fixing the issue
