Problem with copy data tables

Hi everybody,

We have a problem with copy data tables.

We are making a migration from xe to E810. (the release is E810 with 8.96D tools, hp-ux witth oracle 10g).

we have made the table conversion and it works fine.

Now we have a problem, we are trying to copy the tables from XE (proddta) to DV810 (testdta), we have made a version of R98403, and in the data selection we introduce the tables that have data.

The report works once, but not copy all the tables , a lot of tables with data were copied blank.

When we try to relaunch the report, he always get blocked at the same table (F0911) and he nevers end, and in the jde.log there is no information since he starts to copy this table.

Another problem we see is that if we quit this table from data selection, the report still try to copy this table and gets blocked.

anybody has experience the same problems?.

I have another doubt, the tables are converted to E810, so if possible to copy the tables from sql (Export) and we need to copy the tables from jde?.

I´m sending the process options of the report, maybe we are selecting any incorrect.

Thanks everybody.

ok...are you doing an upgrade from Xe to 8.10, if that is the case why aren't you following the upgrade path and running table conversion to convert your Xe tables to 8.12?

Hi,

We made the table conversion, the problem is when we try to copy the transformed tables to E810.

The report R98403 fails everytime, now we are considering to copy the tables from sql, but i don´t know if doing the copy in that way will work properly.

Anybody has use this solution?.

Thanks.

Hello,

Please clarify. You say you ran the table conversions, but now you can't copy the data to 8.10. Did you run the conversion on an XE system and now you are trying to copy the data to a new system that will be used for 8.10? The conversions convert the data in place, and generally you just point the newer EOne datasources to that location. However, it does sound like you are trying to copy them to a new system that will be used for 8.10.

If this is the case, which system are you running the R98403 from, the XE system or the 8.10 system?

Thanks...

Couple of things: What type of machine are you using to run the UBE - it may not have the processor speed to perform the copy as you would like. How many records are in your f0911? Where does the machine you are running the UBE sit in your network? Is it sitting next to the enterprise server or does it need to take several hops to get to the data? Also, is your daily processing locking the file?
