PeopleSoft & AS/400 (iSeries)

Looking at PeopleSofts supported platforms I dont' see AS/400... wonder if they will support it...

Remember that there are still a lot of World customers... so I would say the AS400 would be maintained just as well.

At one point, Peoplesoft did support AS/400.

According to press release for Peoplesoft 7.5, "In addition, PeopleSoft has extended platform support for IBM's AS/400 to additional distribution and manufacturing applications, providing customers with increased utilization of this popular global platform. "

I understand that support to have been dropped with version 8. From their current supported platforms, it isnt' there. They also have a note about Windows to be the chosen platform. here is a link:

Agreed

Peoplesoft never had much experience internally with the AS/400 platform - and they dropped all skills and support when PSFT 8.0 came out.

Interestingly enough, however, the S/390 is a major platform for PSFT. Maybe OneWorld will be back on the S/390 again ?
