Override DD editing

I am trying to override DD editting for CO to allow blanks. I tried it at disign time and I also tried using the system function 'Set Data Dictionary Override' and none seems to work. Could anyone help?

Why would you want to override to allow blanks?

You may be able to just define your own edit rule BSFN that basically wraps the default one. Check the value when it comes in and if it is blank, exit w/o any errors, else call the default edit rule.
