Hello all,
anybody knows how to set a maximum orderable quantity per article?

vlaria,

Have you tried product allocation preferance? this might work.

Hi Victor

I almost beat the system, trailing a little solution for your issue:

In advanced pricing you can create a variable (eg 'ZERO') with value zero
Create a formula eg ZERODIV = 1/&ZERO
Call the formula at the maximum qty level break in an existing or new adjustment within your schedule.

When a qty > level break is ordered, the system will give you an error message (Syntax not found), but unfortunately P4210 will also freeze and the only way out is to re-start.

Alternatively you can increase the price to something ridiculously high once the maximum level is exceeded

Neither solution is particularly elegant, but it may just do the trick!?

Rgds,

For that matter, how about setting a very low price beyond the maximum
quantity, and turning on margin checking in the processing options of order
entry. Orders with no or very low profit margin will then be put on hold.

Don't you just love all the wonderfull things you can do in advanced pricing.

Yes, Sef, I do. It's pretty amazing what you can do with it.

Today, I was at a client who wants the system to keep track of deals like,
"I'll give you the first 50 free, and then you start paying."

We were actually able to set up this scenario almost exactly using Rebates.

It is also going to be incredibly enhanced in B9 (ERP9).

Sef - do you and Andy have a little competition going by any chance!!??

Not a bit. I'm sure its all about a healthy respect for each other. I've
always been impressed with Sef's ability
to moderate the application forum, knowledge of the software, and his
willingness to help everyone, even the ones
who ask "Can someone explain the difference between SAP and JDE?".

Re: RE: maximun orderable quantity

Thanks for that Andy. I think you're pretty good your self ;-)
And I am very pleased with the growing number of regular contributors to all the forums.

Enough back slapping, though.
I figure, if you can help with a query and it doesn't take too long to formulate a short reply (after all lunch breaks only go for that long), why not help each other. Everybody has some issues or queries at some stage and as we all know you can't be a specialist in all areas.
Hence the status this forum has world wide with all JDE users.

Keep up the good work, everybody
