License Plate Numbers searching and Segments definition

I' m using 8.11 SP1.
In License plate g46l you have option to remove items form LP, and reuse this same license plate number.

Do you know how to find, in the simplest way, empty license plate number?

And second thing: Could we create different license plate segment definitions for this same branch/plant without changing effective date?
I have three different types of containers in B/P and each of them has to have different hard coded segment? Have you met similar problem? Maybe you know solution and want to share?

Can anybody tell about license plate having mixed item, from where we can disable the flag of Mix item allowed in single license plate
