Disable / Turn off Branch

Is there a way to disable a branch so that no transactions can occur? I can zero out inventory (quantity on hand) and set the item stocking type in the item/branch file (F4102) to Obsolete. However, I would like to do this at the branch level. Thanks!

Set the business unit as Posting EDit = No transactions
Set the branch LocationControl = 'Y' and remove all locations from the plant.

I changed the suggested options, however I cannot delete the locations, because I have item and lot associated with the location. The quantity on hand is zero. Is there a JDE program that will clean this up, or can I use SQL?

If all kinds of quantities is zero, you can delete the Item/branch/plant. If not, the locations can not be deleted.
