We officially kicked off planning for the 2nd Annual H.U.G. Holiday Social Networking Event and Casino Night slated for December 6th 2012 with the announcement that our 2011 Project Manager Chizzy Menkiti has graciously volunteered to lead again as our Project Manager for 2012. Her work schedule is tighter this year so she has asked for help. We are looking for a few volunteers to help her with the duties of putting together a holiday event to surpass our great success last year. If you are interested in devoting a couple hours as part of her team, please email Chizzy at [email protected]

We have some phenomenal programming planned for our Q3 FY2012 HUG Quarterly Meeting on September 13th 2012 including a possible appearance by my good friend Andy Klee with JDEtips. Also slated are nominations and elections for your 2013-2014 H.U.G. Executive Board of Directors. The positions that will be filled are President, Vice President Membership, Treasurer, Vice President Programming-JD Edwards, Vice President Programming –PeopleSoft, Marketing/Public Relations Director, and Vendor Business Partner Liaison. Nomination forms will be distributed by email to all members in the near future; as well as, the agenda for the Q3 FY2012 H.U.G. meeting when finalized.

The membership of the Houston Regional Users Group for Oracle JD Edwards and PeopleSoft Users, H.U.G. unanimously ratified the revisions to the Houston Regional Group By-Laws as proposed by the Executive Board of Directors.

Highlights of the changes adopted:

--Revamping of our current HUG membership categories and dues structures
--Introduction of a '"pay per meeting" alternative membership plan
--Expansion of our HUG Executive BOD through new positions to support PeopleSoft Programming Development, Marketing & Public Relations, and Business Partner Vendor Liaison.

Serving you phenomenally is your H.U.G. Executive Board of Directors

Thank you so much for making everything happen. Great Team!

Jeremy Shearer, Vice President if Programming
Diane Furst, Treasurer
Mary Hollis, Vice President of Membership
Chris Arend, Logistics Director
