day of week

Does anyone know of any JDE file that will give you the day of the week
(i.e. Monday, Friday or 2, 6) for a date? I'm aware of the F00365 file,
but it does not have such a field.

I don't think so. We had to create a file in excel and upload it to the
AS/400 like this:

Cheryl,

Look at X0027 in JDFSRC/JDESRC. It can optionally output the Day Number and
Description.

Cheryl,

You can use JDE server program X98DAY.

Uh, why can't you just write a api that returns the DOTW? It's easy in
RPG...

Yes Cheryl Mike is correct........the X98DAY will give you the day in full
or abbreviated format, depending on what you pass to it.

Most companies with Distribution (and Manufacturing) have a default Shop
Floor Calendar already set up - see menu G3141

This calendar can be used to distinguish between Holidays as well as Working
and Non Working days. If you like the idea, you could set up one Calendar
for a Branch/Plant called ALL and use that to give you the day.
