World 7.3 cum 11.
Our company is planning a change of name. We are therefore currently looking at all the things we will have to do to accommodate this - everything from headed notepaper on up.
Within JDE World we are trying to identify the things that will need changing. So far we've covered most of the obvious items including:
- #MENUTTL data dictionary item
- Company names in F0010, particularly 00000
- Address book entries
- Company name hardcoded into menu titles and options.
Things that are visible outside the company are obviously the most critical. Things that are visible to users as part of the application come next. Other things, such as comments in program sources, I feel probably should not be changed at all.
Does anyone else have any bright ideas, or has anyone been through this exercise before?
We will obviously need to test everthing in a non-production environment and then be ready to make the production switch overnight. We currently have no idea what the new company name will be incidentally.
