Basic Skills that a Junior JDE/400 A7.3 00009 programmer should know

Hi List

I am a trainee programmer with company I am working with. I've been praying
for a technical foundation course and my prayer has been answered.

We have a JDE Specialist Programmer with us. He was a General Manager but
was moved to JDE side recently. Part of his responsibility is to teach and
train me and my other two colleagues. He has asked us to make a list of
things we want him to cover with us because we already know something and
we don't want to waste company time.

We have made a list of things we would want him to cover but we would
appreciate if the List could supply us some things that you think a Junior
JDE/400 A7.3 00009 programmer should know (both JDE and AS400 ) . So that
we could cross check our list.

Thank you so much.

Look through the Technical foundations Manual. Make sure he shows you how it all translates into programming constructs. You might want to sign onto the JDE Training site and get a description of their programmer's courses for World. You need to know all about DreamWriters/processing options/help/DD/UDC/copy modules/security/menus/ scheduler/data queues/file servers and how that is implemented in the code.

Thank you Jean

internet ?
