AS400 Naming Convetions

Howdy,

Standards - what a concept?!

Does anyone out there have a naming standard for custom objects on their AS400? Basically, I am looking for an IBM convention that corresponds the program type (CLP, RPG, REXX... COBOL) with a letter, followed by the product code (04, 09...55) then an altra-breif description.

We are in the process of creating a lot of custom programs/triggers/process outside of OW - which will require that we maintain some sort of logical naming convention

If anyone wants to forward their conventions, I'd be appreciative!

Hi,

JDE-World naming conventions are:

Jxxxxx = CLP
Pxxxxx = RPG
Vxxxxx = Display Files
Rxxxxx = Printerfiles
Sxxxxx = Printerfiles without headers
