We are currently using a 3rd-party software to clean and scrub our addresses and merge duplicates. If we use the Address lines 1-4 for anything other than the street address, we get unpredictable results. This presents two challenges:
1) How to handle names that exceed the 40-character field limit; and,
2) How to handle Non-USA addresses with foreign states, localities and/or parishes in addition to the city.
I'd like to know how others are handling these issues. I look forward to your comments and/or suggestions.
