Actual Costing

Hi Group,

Has any one tried using Actual costing in JDE.
If u can explain what r the set ups required to
simulate Actual Cost. If u r using Weighted Avg Cost
how does the system calculate the Weighted avg cost.
Can any one help.

We tried it and and ultimately had to go back to Standard.

Do not use Actual costing if you require partial completions to work orders. Your costs could be totally skewed.

Actual costing is a feature that many tech companies would like. Hopefully, JDE will change the logic to allow partial completions in the future - otherwise, not many companies can use it.
