8.12- User Profile- Time Zones

We are on 8.12, Update 3, TR 8.97.1.3 and cannot get the time zones for user profiles to work correctly so that they will reflect the actual time zone for each user.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Al,
Make sure you research time-zone 'schtuff' very good. You don't want orders
completing before they have been entered:-(

I have yet to hear of a solid implementation where geographic times were
really working in a global environment. It doesn't mean that it isn't
possible, it just identifies my missing this mark.

I have been told, but have no Proof Of Concept - that clients define several
web and batch servers for different geographic areas. Thus, they are able
to define the time zone based on the server that the user(s) log into.

I have been told the, above, but have always had real difficulty believing
that it worked properly. My concerns to the multiple zone issues has been,
as identified prior - what if an order is placed in one zone, and completed
in another (at an earlier time). I do not know the safeguards.

At some point in time, JDE/BorGacle needs to complete the UTC across all
modules, allowing for a geographic time to be displayed for each users while
the UTC time is stored in the data.
