Hi everyone,
We have a company in Indonesia which is accessing Oneworld sited in Singapore by WTS. The AA's currency of that company is in Indonesian Rupiah which is a terrible mistake from the beginning as it is a hyperinflation currency. I even got a complain from Indonesia that that there is not enought data field to input the amounts in Indonesia Rupiah!
So we decide to set-up a new company in Oneworld for that company and this time the AA's currency is US$. The 31st Dec 2000's account balances in the old Rupiah company would then be migrated to the new US$ company from 1st Jan 2001.
The Indonesia JDE users would have access rights to both companies in Oneworld.
My question is whether should I set-up a totally new company in Oneworld with new customer, vendors, employees in the address book.
Or can I reuse the existing customers, vendors and employers in the address book and just change the business unit associated with each address no. to the business unit belonging to the new US$ company.
JDE consultant adviced me to set-up new Company completely with new address nos.
Any comments and advices would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
