Suppress Duplicate Grid Rows

Hi all,

Is there an easy way to suppress duplicate grid rows. I succeeded by using Suppress Grid Line and Insert Grid Buffer Row.

Thnx in advance,

Roland

Usually there are duplicate grid rows because there are duplicates in the
BusinessView. You can select the 'Distinct' button on the view. Note -
that if the grid does not show all the columns of the view (but only shows
the columns that are duplicate) - you will not know if they are truly
duplicates.

You can manually remove the duplicates using the suppress - but that can be
processor intensive. The best way to suppress is by selecting the correct
data (distinct data) initially.

Re: RE: Suppress Duplicate Grid Rows

Thnx for your reaction. It is an interesting suggestion, unfortunately I trying to show only a part of the key. So there are no duplicate records only duplicate grid rows.

RE: RE: Suppress Duplicate Grid Rows

If you are showing only part of the key - then the duplicates are, most
likely, created by the remainder of the key... 'Distinct' usually includes
the entire key (or record), based on what columns are being selected.... If
you are selecting only a partial key - then you need to account for the
non-uniqueness of the remainder of the key field(s)
