Does anyone know what this means???

I had this before...I think it is actually talking about your menu tables. Make sure you have the F0082, F0084, F00821, F0083 in your control tables for CRP.

I checked and I have all of these files in Control Tables - CRP. Any other
ideas out there?

Actually, we installed 19.1 using multiple foundations to be used in our DV
environment only. It should have had nothing to do with CRP. Now our CRP
installation on a fat client comes up showing 19.1, too. So I thought we
could just use the CRP from the Deployment server to show 17.1, but we get
this error. I am a bit perplexed. There actually may be a couple of
problems.

Re: RE: Citrix error

Multifoundation is perfect to test new Service Packs. We currently are in multifoundation for DV/PY for SP20 + oneoff C1.

The thing you have totake into consideration is that when having several environments on, in this case, a fat client and only one is getting a higher foundation is that the other environments are getting the SAME foundation on that machine.

So when your DV7333 env. gets an update package or full package with a newer foundation than the other one on that machine use the same system directory.

As you can see in your local b7 dir there is only one system dir standing there.

What you can do is copying the old system dir from the deployment server to that machine under lets say system_old. Then you can use this one for the environments that are still on the old SP by renaming it to SYSTEM when you want to log on to that envir.

So you can switch SP levels as needed for those envirs. Remember to change the port number in the jde.ini to the number needed for the corresponding SP level.

Hope this helps (if I did understand the problem correctly)

RE: RE: Citrix error

Use Snapshot to save your old Environment before updating the Foundation on
the Client, then you can swap between Foundations as you change
environments.

Client - Citrix TSE + 4 NT PC's for development

RE: RE: Citrix error

There are a couple other things you might want to know, in case you were not
aware:

1) You can use SnapShot to run both foundations on a single machine
2) This will not work on a Citrix box

Rick is right,

You also need to make sure that you are using the right OC client install because these are all foundation codes also is you syscomp directory.

Hopefuly you have a backup of your SP 17 OC client install, system and syscomp folders. with Multipe foundations you have to play the renaming game when you are deploying to your production path code make sure you are using the SP 17 files else you will change your foundation on your clients but your enterprise will be on a different foundation and that it NOT GOOD.

Hopefully you get things sorted out.

RE: RE: Citrix error

Richard,
Thank you for your response. But let me explain a little more. DV should
be on 19.1, PY and PD should be 17.1. I think that the PY (CRP) is messed
up on the Citrix server because of the errors stated in my original post. I
do not understand why I am having a problem with the Citrix environment.
On a fat install, I loaded PD first and it said 17.1 on the About One World
screen. Then I installed PY from the deployment server and it said 19.1.
then signed off and went into PD again and it said 19.1! I don't know what
is messed up on this machine. So I decided to reinstall the client for PD,
hopefully getting 17.1 and then have her use Citrix for her PY environment,
but we cannot use this environment due to the errors previously mentioned.

Re: RE: RE: Citrix error

Did you build your PY package on SP 19.1 foundation originally, or did you build it on 17.1. Try re-building a full CRP package. or try it on another fat client.

RE: RE: Citrix error

I understand, but CRP and PD are both supposed to still be on 17.1 only
DV is on 19.1 and that is not what I was trying to install on the fat client
and that is not what is giving me a message on the Citrix Server.
When we installed 19.1, we based our DV environment on a PY package. Is
this the problem, do you think?

Re: RE: Citrix error

"We're all living the Citrix nightmare with OneWorld"

Those that know how to properly implement the Citrix solution are not living through any nightmare at all.

"An alternative for CITRIX to consider though for your OneWorld
environment might be the ERP2 Web product I mentioned in an earlier
string. "

Sounds like you have a very vested interest in this whole subject. I thought the guys that run jdelist usually run off folks who are using the boards for advertising.

Re: RE: Citrix error

brother_of_kara, personally citrix isn;t that much of a nightmare. And yes maybe webbased might be better.

But the problem here might not me Citrix as well as the use of multifoundation.

Libby,

Did you take a look at the jde.ini As you have multifoundation the ini contains a portnumber under the [JDENET] section.

Sp_old listens to 6009 (in our case) and SP_new listens to 6109.
So when you reinstalled PD is might get SP_old back but if it did not replace the ini you might get some problems.

"brother_of_kara, personally citrix isn;t that much of a nightmare"

Not my statement..... I was responding to a user that made the comment and I quoted him.

Re: RE: Citrix error

Whooops,

Sorry Brother_of_Kara. It now sank in that you wrote more under that statement. I read it but it didn't sink in, Sorry.
