JDE List,

Can anyone give me an idea on how the JAS client vs. the Citrix client
perform? I am specifically looking for band width information. How do the
bandwidth usage/requirements for these two compare?

We are going to have hundreds of remote users (up to 6000) and we are
needing to understand what the best approach might be to deliver OneWorld
to our WAN attached communities?

Thanks in advance for any and all input.

From what I understand, the HTML client and Citrix use about the same bandwidth (around 20kbps or less).

The Java client is supposed to use 40-50kbps.

Unfortunately, I have no documentation to point to as backup. This is what I heard from my boss, who has been to JDE Denver for several "informative sessions."

James,

On the knowledge garden, do a search on WAN Utilization with "Product" checked. You will get 14 hits. Select the 'WWAT Presentations Page' and then WAN Utilization Update. This will load a 47 page powerpoint presentation that Steve Schaefer presented at FOCUS. I believe it contains all the information you are looking for.

Good Luck.

Please be aware that JDE will stop supporting the Java clients from SP20 onwards. It will be HTML only.
