Oracle Buys BEA (WebLogic)

This acquisition will be very interesting. I am curious to see the analysis on this and how it affects ORCL's stock price. One thing is for certain, the domestic business software market (specifically ERP ie. SAP and what's left), will be radically different in 3 years.

I vote WebLogic for "purple stack". Most web app experts I know view it as the Porsche of web app servers.

In a bit of comic irony, I get a "Servlet Error" when I try to go to www.oracle.com.

I really doubt if there will be much affect. This was one of the most "open" secrets out there - and any effect on the stock price probably has already occurred...
