Migration from I-870

We are thinking of migrating from AS/400 I-870 to either P series or Windows or Linux based servers. Does anybody have moved away from AS/400 ? If so, what is the experience like ? Reliability ? Performance ? Vendor Support. Anything you may want to share on the topic will be appreciated.
