Packages and Deployment Server

Hi Group
This might seem a stuid question, but if we build a package(full or update) on the deployment server, do we also need to deploy the package out to the deployment server as well as the clients and enterprise server??

Not a stupid question all. The answer is no, you do not need to deploy the package to the deployment server. The deployment server utilizes the PLANNER path code to operate. This path code is updated only by installing planner ESU's not by building/deploying packages. Packages that you build for other path codes, PD, PY, etc. are to be deployed to clients and enterprise servers only.
