One of my developers would like to know if there is a way to get back a
previous version of an object that has been promoted from Dev to PY? she
would like to pull it back to DEV, but a previous version before a change.
Any ideas???????

Take it from PD.......One way would be to create a project in OMW and
promote the empty project to a status 38 or whatever status you have for
production. Then log in to PD and open OMW and search for status 38. Move
the object to the project and down promote the project back through PY to
DV. You must have the P98230 - Object Management Configuration setup
correctly to do this. Or if you have the Pristine Environment setup and the
latest Pristine Package installed to a Fat Client you can to the same thing.
But again you must have the P98230 setup correctly. Joy

Libbi,

It won't help in this case, but you could use a Save environment within OMW to save a copy of an object before you begin work on it. Then, if you need to roll back, you can just restore from the Save environment copy.

Also, there may be a way to try and retrieve the old version from a client that has the old version, but I've not done this myself. Maybe someone else on the JDEList can provide some pointers on this.

Good luck.

Do you have a workstation that might still have the old object? If so
you could check those specs in.

Is PY the last environment holding the good version of the object, or does it live in PD? If it is in PD, then she can go into OMW, check out the object, then do a row "get" from PD.

If the object doesn't live in another environment, do you have a fat client or citrix server that has not yet been updated with the bad object? If so, you might be able to configure the DEVSAVE location on that machine, save the object, and restore it on the developer's workstation (after configuring the DEVSAVE location on that machine too).

Good luck.

If all previous solution are not sufficient, do you have an update package with old version ?
In this case install it on a workastation and you will have on this workstation the old version... After you just have to check in if necessary with P9860...
