SP20 JAS Find gives error calling business function

Hi List,

Just applied SP20 to an ERP8 installation and getting an error in P01012 on
a FIND. As each record is read in to the grid, an error pops up stating that
there was a problem running the GetPArentAddress business function. The
JAS.LOG shows that the connection was refused from the enterprise server
(where the default BSFN is OCM'd to for the 'J' environemnt.

The error in JAS.LOG shows that it is correctly trying to connect to port
6010 (ERP8) etc but is 'failing to obtain an environemnt'.

Has anyone come across this before ?

Regards

Andy,

Ran into that error at a client site on XE and it was due to a OCM map for a specific BSFN. I don't remember which one but will try to look it up in my notes. It is one of the ones that are mapped to local in a default install.

Thanks Michael, I have done some playing around since and managed to clear
the error by copying all OCM mappings for the 'J' environment in to the
server map from the system data source !

Noticed that for BSFN and TBLE, there were no OCM mapping records at all in
server map (but must admit I thought it used System anyway).

So I copied them in speculatively and it has cleared the error. (There were
errors shown in the JAS.LOG that intonated that it could not find the
environemnt because it was unable to find the F986101 (OCM) record) which
led me to try this.

So this may not be the correct way to fix this - do you have OCM records for
the 'J' environemnts in server map datasource ?

As far as BSFN mappings being LOCAL - I did not think it was possible to run
any business logic on the JAS server ?

Be interested if you have any further ideas.

Re: RE: SP20 JAS Find gives error calling business function

Andy,

Yes, I have created the mappings in the Server map as well. I think you are right you can not run BSFN local on the JAS, but if you run the installation workbench after creation of the "J" environment it will copy the default JDEdwards mappings into your OCM.
