Wrong decimals

Hi List,

I wonder if somebody on the list has run in to a similar problem that we
are facing (see below).

We are upgrading from OW B7332 to OW Xe.
We have installed Xe, different ESUs (JD12860, ...), the ASU Update3,
SP16.1 + all one off's except VTX_001.
Now when we have started to test we are experiencing a problem with
decimals when running
R47011 - Inbound EDI PO - on the server. It processes the EDI order, but
the result on the F4211
for the extended amount AEXP is four times off - 10000 times too high, also
the order total OTOT on F4201 is wrong.
The DD looks ok, the DD items are the same on both Versions. Running
R47011 Local gives correct results.

We have deleted the Global Tables on the ES, but no change.

Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Thank you for you cooperation

Our config:
2 ES AS400 V4R5, Xe, Update3, SP16.1 + all one off's except VTX_001

Best regards
Mats Thunholm

Hello,

Did you rebeuild the global table specs on a fat client and copied them on the server?

Also look directly in the table and look how the figure looks like.
if you set it on 4 decimals 100$ looks 1000000 in the table.
Did you set the dd back to another decimal?

Regards,

Ronald

Hello,

the server?
No, we deleted them and also the dddict and ddtext.
Then they were rebuilt by themself when we were running different UBEs.

Also look directly in the table and look how the figure looks like.
if you set it on 4 decimals 100$ looks 1000000 in the table.
AEXP is set to Display Decimals=2 in the DD but $100.00 look like
100000000 in F4211.

Did you set the dd back to another decimal?
No we did not change the DD.

Regards,

Ronald

Mats Thunholm,

Go directly to SAR 5435855 contained in ESU_JD13345 it is a fix for Multi-currency Multi-Decimal errors.
Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
This repaired that very condition which showed up after we applied Xe Update3.

Bob,

Is this SAR taken care of the decimal problem in general in OW, or just in
'System 09', Journal Entry, P0911 ?
We have the decimal problem in R47011/P4210 (F4211).

Thank you for your assistance

Dear JDEList,

We have got the 'decimal problem' solved. It was a known problem at JDE and
they had a workaround for it.
They said it will come a SP in the future that will take care of the
problem.

The workaround was:
Amend the jde.ini files on both the Server and the Clients (see below),
and key in a '.' (period) or ',' (comma) in the 'Decimal Format Character'
field on the User Profile.

Server:
add the statement 'bAllowOneUserOnly=1' under [JDENET_KERNEL_DEF6]
[JDENET_KERNEL_DEF6]
krnlName=CALL OBJECT KERNEL
dispatchDLLName=JDEKRNL
dispatchDLLFunction=JDEK_DispatchCallObjectMessage
maxNumberOfProcesses=10
numberOfAutoStartProcesses=0
bAllowOneUserOnly=1

Client:
add the section and statement,
[JDENET_KERNEL_DEF6]
bOneUserOnly=1

Thank you again for your Support and Help.

Best regards
Mats Thunholm
