As regular readers of the OneWorld threads probably noticed we recently had a poster creating half a dozen threads all marked Urgent which seemed to reduce to "It's Friday. I have an interview on Monday for a JDE post. I don't know anything much about JDE. Please teach me so I can get the job."
On another board, in other places this would have been met with flames and vitriol of an extraordinary level. JDE listers who replied did so almost uniformly in measured and polite ways. Some were tetchy, some tried to help, some offered wise counsel about reconsidering this career attempt.
It is a pleasure and privilege to be associated with a civilised gathering of minds in this often fractious world.
