SP18.1 causing RDA issues

Ever since we adopted SP18.1 we have been experiencing Dr Watsons, and crashes when adding versions after working on the template in the RDA. Although it was initially sporadic it is now rendering the RDA practically unusable. Response Line says send debug logs. C Ho is having exactly the same problems. Any other listers experienced this problem post 18.1?

We are also seeing some erratic behaviour with the RDA since 18.1. No Dr Watsons, but "crashes when adding versions after working on the template in the RDA" rings a bell. No obvious pattern is emerging, however: 5 problems one day, none the next. Makes it difficult to log..

Response line has recommendated that we apply ESU JD16030. However this ESU has been pulled because there is a problem with it.

The scheduled re-release date is early August.

Have you opened a call to response line? We have been told that there has been no other calls regarding RDA and SP 18.1.
That is not true because I know John opened a call to response line.

If response line knows that there are other clients out there with the same problem, then it will be given a higher priority.

Hi John,
agree with C Ho when she recommends that you log the SP18.1 RDA issues with the response line. There are now three of us out there and we'd like JDE to push the priority,

We had this exact problem...had to use windows 2000 SP1 on our developers workstations instead of NT.
Working perfect now!

Appears that we are now all agreed that it is a Windows NT issue and a switch to Windows 2000 on designated RDA user clients is the quick fix solution.
