Problem with R31804.

Hi,

Thank you for making me aware of this. I have checked the knowledge
garden and indeed your consultants are right.

To be complete this is the tekst that confirms the working of R31804.

Running the R31804 with certain processing options set closes your work
order. This is how it works. After you run R31802, the work order header
record has a field PPFG that will be set to 1. Running R31804 will set
the flag to 2. In older releases, that used to close the order. Once
variance accounting was run, you were done. Repetitive and actual
costing have the need to be able to run variance accounting for
additional transactions.
To close an order, the PPFG flag must go to 3. In R31804 OVER/UNDER
COMPLETIONS tab has option 2, closed work order status. DEFAULTS tab has
4, work order status code.

a) When you set the DEFAULTS status to less than the OVER/UNDER
COMPLETIONS closed status, the PPFG flag will be set to 2 and you will
be allowed to process the work order again.

b) When you set the DEFAULTS status to equal the OVER/UNDER COMPLETIONS
closed status, the PPFG flag will be set to 3 and the work order is now
closed and you can no longer process additional transactions.

c) When the PPFG is set to 2 you can process additional transactions by
running the R31804 for the same work order. However be aware that the
R31804 simply reads the F3102 each time and writes journal entries for
the Total Variance. It will not write the difference between the first
time it was run for a specific work order and the second time. If you
want to run the R31804 multiple times for the same WO you should delete
the IV journal entries in the previous run of the R31804. If not then
you will have duplicate IV journal entries in the F0911, because the
second run of the R31804 includes the variances from the first run as
well as any new variances created by new WO transactions. i.e. Issues,
Hours and Quantities, Completions.

d) If the PPFG flag is not updating correctly in XE see SAR 6746938.

e) It is advisable to include the data selection with PPFG not equal to
3 or PPFG equal to 1 as this is the design of the UBE to read the data
selection. Once this is set, the UBE will not create replicate records
for the WO with IV journal entry created.

Take care about the remark under c). IV journal entries are repeated if
you rerun the R31804 more then once for one WO.

Sorry that I confused you.
