We handle this using forms software (Optio).

(A custom truetype font with a signature in it) this will work in JDE with postscript printers on eservers and to any printer from acrobat reader. I haven't tried this company, there are many out there if you search google for "Truetype signature fonts".

We use forms software. There are three major ones I've seen mentioned on the list, check them out. They all have plusses and minusses to them.
They are: formscape, optio, create!form
Everyone has their own opinion, I suggest you form your own if you decide to go with one.
