Planner ESU 14380

Has anyone installed the new (rebuild) planner esu, 14380? I had installed
the one previous that had been yanked and it caused a bunch of problems.
This time I am installing it a lot more cautiously (backing up stuff
immediately before, etc). What have been your experiences on this ESU?
So far I have installed it into planner and DEV and am trying a full client
build to see if I get the errors I had before with the previous ESU (13750).

I'm getting ready to install it now. What exactly did you back up and
how, by tape or just by copying directories?

Why are you again applying the ESU to the planner Pathcode....

Just extracting the file updated the planner hence the name PLANNER ESU all you have to then do is follow the special instructions and apply the ESU to your other pathcodes as you would any other ESU. I applied JD12860 and had absolutely no issues I am going to apply JD14380 tomorrow.

Sorry, I have the terminology incorrect. I am re-expanding (running
setup) from the deployment server to have it re-apply to the planner
pathcode...and then using the software updates program to reapply it to
the other environments..
I have applied the ESU in DEV, and tested it. We are not experiencing
the issues we had with the previous ESU, so I think this one is much
more stable, so far.

What I did was backup (copy) the planner and the DEV directories before
I ran the setup from the esu. Although backing up these directories does
not allow you to fully roll-back the esu (since it would have merged
specs/tables,etc), it addressed my earlier issue with the previous
planner esu. The problem we had (and JDE acknowledged in the early
release of the planner 13750), was that the change control (net change)
did not function properly and all of the required .c, .obj, .h files
were copied properly..therefore, when a package was built, we had a
whole number of errors in the business functions building...
Does anyone have a way of rolling back/out an esu other than a restore
of the DB/OS files?

John
