Package build on AIX 5.1

Hi !

We have a problem with package build on aix 5.1 using an Oracle 8.1.7.

The problem seems to be the linking of the object's..

Are there anyone who has any experience with that ?

Bo,

it is quite possible that the LINK parameters in the server´s JDE.INI file must be changed for AIX 5.1 .
I´m not so sure, is AIX 5.1 suported yet by JDE?
You should check with JDE in Denver on that.

Sorry, we're HPUX not AIX so I don't know anything about 5.1. I noticed a co-worker of yours posted a question about this - hopefully he will get some responses.

One other thing you should check is in your Enterprise Server's JDE.INI file.

Check the "SimultaneousBuilds" setting in section [BSFN BUILD]. If this setting is missing or = 0 then the build process will attempt to run a large number of simultaneous compiles, etc. Suggest you limit to 2 or 3 simultaneous builds. This was a random problem for us until we found and changed this setting.
