Migration World software vers Eone

Merci

Okay my French is rusty.

You are asking about migrating from World to EnterpriseOne from AS400 to SQL. I don't understand the last sentence about the interfaces.

Can someone help with the translation?

used
http://translate.google.com/ from french to english and got this :)

Hello world.
We A7.3cum9 in World Software and want to migrate to eOne 9. "We also use a soft jobs on AS400. In between, there are interactive interfaces.
Is it possible to keep these interfaces (in the reworking of course) if we move to Eone (based on AS400 and SQL database server)?"

Hi,

Everything is possible in IT/IS if you're ready to invest
enough money, time and people in the project.

I heard of a couple of accounts in North America that
migrated from World to E1, but it was not an "upgrade".

They installed E1 side by side to World, and they
migrated data manually via iSeries flat-file import/export.

What do you mean by "soft métier"?
Is it "Logiciels maison"?
Custom software you wrote in RPG, COBOL, CL, etc?

If that's the case, you'll possibly have to rewrite
them from scratch.

Finally, what do you mean on EOne based on AS400 and
SQL Server?

Hi

I try to translate my request

We now use JDE WorldSoftware A73 CUM 9, and another as400 software dedicated to our business.
We developped interactives interfaces between those two.
We would like to migrate to the EOne 9.0 version on SQL DB.
Will it be possible to keep our interactives interfaces (between SQL, AS400).

Thank you

Hi,

You'll definitely have to rewrite your interfaces to
accomodate to the fact that E1 will be running on
Microsoft SQL Server instead of IBM DB2/400.

You can send me a private message in French if you
require more clarification in your mother language.
