Flag for Special Instances

Our CEO is under the imprression that when we purchased World 7.3 in 1998 he was told that it either had the capability to flag instances, or that a third party package was avaialable that does so. The functionality he wants is to be able to enter an 'alert' that would come up on a sales screen that, for example, Product XYZ (normal price $150) sells to Joe's Storm Door Inc for $135 until June 30, 2004. Or that product QED is only for sale to Ed's Hockery LLC. I know that some of this can be done with Quotes, Advanced Pricing etc, but is anyone aware of a product or function that would produce a message flag on an entry screen?

There's the Item Flash Message, but this only highlights that there is Text associated with the Item......

Nothing simple for the first example--reminding the order taker that the
price is going up soon. Item Restrictions (using either the Billing
Instructions or Advanced Pricing) would give you a message if you attempt to
sell an item to an 'incorrect' customer.

I am not aware of any complementary products for this, but it seems to me
that a competent programmer could code what you need without breaking the
bank.

There is an EXCELLENT point-of-sale / Order entry system which
interfaces to JDE world. We have used it for many many years. It is by
a company named RESPONSIVE DATA SYSTEMS. I do not remember their web

Rob Fish. This package does SO MUCH for pricing, contracts,
