Currency Format

Is there a currency format available in the JDE Report writer? I'm creating a benefits report and there was a request to have a dollar sign in front of the wage. JDE has built in formats for the report variables like adding "-" or "cr" or setting the number of decimals, etc., but I couldn't find anything that set the currency format. Is there a way to do this other than by using a third party report writer? I ended up running some text functions on the wage to display it as currency on the report. There must be a better way. Can anyone help?

Just a suggestion....how abt using concat function? ie. concat ('$', RV AMOUNT)

I Think if you select the propertied of the variable there should be a edit code field in Display Tab i think change default edit code to "$" then you should be OK.
