Benefits Eligibility Criteria

We need to configure eligibility rules for our sick accrual for auto-enrollment. Basically, the plan is mandatory for all employees, but when they are on LOA, the plan is suspended. The exception is if they are on FMLA, then sick still accrues.

At a minimum, I know I can't actually configure the plan as mandatory. It does strange things when you attempt to suspend it. And since the Leave Start and End are two different columns in F060116, I can't wrap my head around how we can pair the two. Making it even more complicated is that the leave type (FMLA versus not FMLA) is in F08042.

My thought is to use one of the user defined fields that is populated by a UBE that runs in advance of R083800. The eligibility rules are then written against the contents of that field. I am in the process of testing now, but am looking to the forum for any additional guidance.

Thank you.
