Re: R:Removing JDFDATA
Thanks for all replies, we can put this one to bed now. By deleting
the JDESRC and JDFDATA the storage dropped from 80% to 71%. And
by the way the system is on its way out we are already in the process of
setting up its replacement so I shouldn't need to perform anymore CUMs.

Mike,
as several replies already stated, make sure to have a backup of this
library and get ready to be asked to restore it (and then you won't have
enough room, eh eh eh ...!!!) when you'll install new pieces of software.
Additionally, rather than listing specific files which dimension can grow
in a different way from business to business, I recommend that you run
every night an easy CL and a couple of easy queries that will provide you
every morning with every detailed and/or summarized informations about disk
occupation.
This will allow you to concentrate your effort on the really biggest
beasts.
If you are interested, contact me directly and I can send you my CL and my
queries

We are badly in need of disk space on an old machine which is due to be
replaced anyday. I have been going through and deleting libraries (after
backing up of course) which are not necessary for our day-to-day
operations. I have deleted JDFSRC already and am about to delete JDFDATA.
My question is can think of any flaws in deleting the JDFDATA library.
Thankyou
