Using semicolon delimiter for email address list

We are making transition from Trans 7 to Trans 8 and are having issue that E1 is sending email lists with a semicolon. Transform 8 does not appear to accept this delimiter but I cannot find reference to this limitation in any documentation. Does anyone have experience with using a comma as delimiter in a list of emails in Transform 8?

It is in the help in the 8.x designer, you can simply use a replace object to change this
