E9.2 JDE Pick Confirm Date vs Actual Ship Date

I have a question about dates. Here is my ish:
JDE 9.2
Tools Release: 9.2.5.3
Sales Orders
When we Pick Confirm a sales order, the Actual Ship Date (ADDJ) is populated with the system date. However, in many cases, the order is not SHIPPED on the same day.
Is this working as designed? Or is there something in the setup that I need to look at so that the Actual Ship Date is populated when the order is SHIP confirmed?

Hopefully someone else can jump in with a more detailed answer but yes it is a setup issue. I believe this is a application version processing option

For the P4205 version, check processing option #4 under the PROCESS tab. i believe this should have a "1" so that inventory is not relieved. This should keep the actual ship date from getting populated and any other inventory relief options (JE"s , Cardex, etc.) left for ship confirmation to update.
