    Negative Short Item #

I was wondering if anyone else ever ran across a Negative short item number? If so, did you figure out how it happened. I have an short item number in the F4101,F4102,F41021...etc that is a negative 1 (1-).

    Re: Negative Short Item #

Short Item number is created by the Next Number system 41/01. if someone set that number back then that could happen I think.

I would think that there would be some sort of edit check to prevent a negitive number.

I would be interested to know if you find out.

    Thanks

When you add a record to the Item Master, the system will allow you to enter a
Short Item Number rather than using a Next Number. If someone keys a negative
    number, it will be accepted.
