P42565 - INVOICE PRINT PROGRAM ISSUE

Has anyone experienced the following:

Occasionally, when the invoice print program runs (we run this unattended
at night), the job splits the printer file R42565 into 3 separate printer
files. (see below for specifics). All have the same job number. JDE has
suggested that this is due to a power failure and the program restarts
itself. However, I do not see this as the cause.

Any help appreciated.....

Hi,

I have actually seen this happen once for us. It was not caused by a
power outage instead, the customer that was on the second spool file had a
different invoice copy stated. ie (if you produce one copy of every
invoice. this customer (Billing instruction file (F0301) could have a
different # of invoice copies required, or the CSR may have typed one in on
the order (SO Header Screen)). This was what caused our invoice print to
split into 3 separate spool files instead of one. I do not see the copies
on the spool file sample you included though. to guarantee this is what has
happened in your case.

Check if any order in the invoiced spool was having equal or more than 99 lines. I faintly remember having encountered this.

I seem to recollect this happening on a company break or payment terms break or tax authority/group break or currency break, you might look at processing options.
