Setting up Rate - Transportation

Dear List,
Is it possible to set up a RATE in percentage respect to total amount of
shipment ? (I.E.: 10% on total amount of the shipment)
That is what should be the rate types and look up types ?
Anybody can help me?

Hi,
that's a very good question, as you would like to invoice your customer 10% as a freight charges margin or as your insurance company rate is based on the freight costs.
Sorry I don't have the answer, it was just to point out the utility of such a rate.
The documentation on the Rate type says "This could be a fixed amount or percentage, for example" but I did not find the percentage option in the UDC.
I will try to find the solution, first one tell the others ;-)

Do you use Payable freight as well as billable freight, this will have an impact to the anwser?.

If I use the rate base F(Current Gross Amount) the system works on Billable
charge amount. But I need to apply a percentage on total amount (AEXP). So
can solve this problem too!
