Substitute Items

Hi All,

My question is in regards to the Sales Order Entry Application (Order Entry Detail Screen - W4210A to be more specific). Does anyone know of an easy way to automatically apply a substitute item if one exists? My company would only have one sub (for each item) at any given time so, it's a waste of time to take the Substitute row exit to go to a seperate application and select a sub. Therefore, we made the decision to automatically apply the sub if one exists. Has anyone ever done this?

I haven't done it, however there is code in MFG processes when you print the
Work order (R31410 - assuming you are talking about OW) that will substitute
items. You may be able to "steal" the code from there and use it. thanks,
