Hi,
we are changing deployment server and we have observed that when we shut down deployment Server, all clients (3 Citrix Terminal Server - 70 user) run slowly. Just we reboot Deployment Server clients run normally. (Central Object resides on another server).Help me?
Thanks in advance

Gigi :

Problem is that users can't access to the \b733\helps shared folder.
I don't know why but whenever you enter a new screen, OneWorld tries to
access and read help files from \b733\helps on the
Deployment.

Perhaps they are looking for Media Objects on the Deployment Server?  I think the default location
for media objects is on the Deployment Server.  Helps are also located there by default also but
unless a user is trying to open a help file, I doubt this is causing the problem.

Take a lookee in P98MOQUE and see if your deployment server is listed as the Queue location.

Sebastian...

Do you keep your helps folder on the Deployment? I've quite often made copies of this helps folder and changed the settings to be more "network friendly". I'm curious how other people are handling this.

Re: RE: Deployment

Thanks Sebastian,
we have tried to modify inside jde.ini the parameter of Help path to an unknown server, user ar very slow. After this prove we have discovered that oneworld checks helps path only for italian language user at interactive application loading. With english language users oneworld doesn't check help path Why?

Scott :

I keep the helps folder on the Deployment, but I know that they can be
mapped (via JDE.INI) to some other place such as a local
folder.
