Security Versioning Problem

This is the problem:

We have a report called r55detcf1 that allows the
president to view a
cash
flow statement across all plants. That report has XX
versions
(GXXXX01AA)
that allows each plant to view their cash flow
statement. The Pres
should
be able to view r55detcf1 and all GXXXX01AA's while
each plant should
only
be able to see their corresponding GXXXX01AA. It
doesn't look like
version
security is possible.

** Row security (which can limit you to your own
business unit/plan)
was
recommended but that would limit A/P to their plant's
transactions and
not
allow interplant transactions.

The JDE resources here don't have a solution.

Thanks for any help,

Ian

Ian,

Have you tried using Exclusive Application security in addition to Row
Security? With Exclusive App, you can have users run particular
applications (Interactive or UBE) that override Row or Column security.

Here is a work around:

1. Use the OCM and run that report locally.
2. Check out all the versions report in the President machine
3. Check out just the corresponding versions to the other machines.

Probably is not the best solution but it is an idea.

Regards.
