Total Quantity for all lots by location

hi there!

would like to know if there is a way of summing up the quantity by location for all lots under that particular location under the summary availability program?

currently, the program displays the total quantity of the item A for each lot (1, 2, 3....) under the same location A. how about summing up all quantities for all lots under the same location A? that way, the users can save time calculating one lot after another in order to get the total for the location. this includes on hand, commitment and availablity.

would modification affect the program concerning esu updates in the future(if any)?

The P41202 application will always show quantities by item/branch and not by lot. However all/most information you require is held in the F41021 file and a new stand-alone application doing what you describe is pretty easy to create (an experienced form designer can just about copy the logic of P41202; for speed you may wish to create some new indices). If you create a new or copied application, any esu you may apply will not affect your app.

thanks for the reply. i was thinking for instance P4100. my users needed something like a total quantity summed up for all lots for a particular location.

are you sure that esu updates would not disturb/ overwrite the modification to the program? could you explain further?
