Sun/Oracle Platform for JDE OneWorld

We are evaluating the viability of running JDE on a
Sun/Oracle platform web-enabled, and so far the few users we
talked to have been less than thrilled...I appreciate any
and all replies to this post, regarding these questions:

1) Is anyone out there running Websphere (or other app
server, please define) on a Sun/Oracle platform to fully
web-enable their JDE application deployment (no Citrix
required)?

2) If you are running JDE/Sun/Oracle, what type of
challenges and issues have you faced, as this is ? Please
signify what your platform, deployment options are.

Thanks,

Tim

We have installed JDE/Sun/Oracle for 2 of my clients. they are facing no problems. if appropriate Hardware is provided for the Installation of JDE, this is the best combination. coz
a. we get Unix level security + database level security(oracle). no one can play around with this system..
b. the full pkg build(Client/Srv)(under minimum hardware) takes 12hrs. if hardware is good this time is drastically reduced.
c. The Installation Workbench takes 4 hours per env. which is again less.
There are no implementation issues that we have faced.
The JDE queue gets saturated after few days if proper OS Kernel settings are not done. We need to bounce the queue servcices. this is OS level problem. OS finetuning has to be done by a SUN expert. we have the proper setting with us(i am talking of SUN Semaphore and system settings)

Configuration at one of our clients:
ES: SUN 4500 (6processor) with Solaris 8
RAM : 4GB
HDD : 1 TeraByte * 2
Database : Oracle 8i
Oneworld : JDedwards Xe all the Environments installed
DS :Intel / NT4.0
