Hello JDE gurus,

I m coming back to JDE after almost 6 years. I m trying to understand the difference between Parts List Location to that of Consuming Location on routing. I appreciate any information shared.

Thank You,
Sam

Hi Sam,
Parts list locations are the instruction/information where are parts located. For example there are 3 resistors for a PCB and the P/L locations can be used as the instruction/information where there resistors located.
Consuming location on routing on the other hand is used for backflushing the materials. After the setups via P3009 you can have the system backflush the parts from the locations defined in this routing consuming locations.
Hope this helps!

Regards,
John
