Hi List,

Do we know if any browser add-ins are needed for TR9205 upgrade, we are on TR9155 right now and planning to move to 9205.[/FONT]

Certifications are not showing much details about the browser ADD-Ins

Thanks,
Anu

Anunaya,

You probably will not get any specific document on Oracle regarding Plug-in/Add-ins for browser. But these general information should be enough.
Nevertheless you always the dev/test environment to test it out ... ;-)

It's not like media objects or attachments will be gone - they will just not work via ActiveX anymore, just with HTML.
See: E1: MOBJ: Non-ActiveX Controls (HTML) for EnterpriseOne Grid Import / Export and Media Object Attachments for all browsers Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer (IE), Safari (Doc ID 780761.1)
Follow the links from there.

Thanks I read that and seems good but still it doc says the import from Excel will not work

Non-ActiveX
•Stores text in etxt format

Pros
•Browser Independent (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari)◦Do not have to worry about end of life support

•Can convert existing ActiveX RTF to etxt◦Once you go to etxt, there is not an option to go back to ActiveX RTF

•OLE – Optional
•Use Advanced Media Object functionality (only with OLE and ActiveX disabled)

Cons
•Export / Import functionality the same except◦Import from Excel is not available
◦Cannot Export to an existing file

Just saw looks like they are working for import from excel
Awesome
Bug 18399260 : IMPORT FROM EXCEL WITH ACTIVEX TURNED OFF
