P4108 - Adding Lot; Missing Date Data

I have attempted to add a lot in P4108. The item branch is set up with a value in Shelf Life Days. As you add the lot, the "Lot Date" tab is does not function. The assumption is that the dates will be calculated similar to when you receive or adjust the item.

However, after the lot is added, if you check, there are no dates for Expiration, Lot Effectivity, Best By, etc.

I have checked the processing options and do not see any way to manually add the dates when you add the lot or to have it calculated.

Is there something I'm missing?

Could the difference be that you are manually adding a Lot Master record instead of adding inventory? It makes sense that expiration dates apply to real goods, not a F4108 record, in my mind.

That is correct. The lot dates are calculated based on the "On Hand Date" or "Based On Date" depending on the Item Branch settings.
That will only happen when adding inventory.
